Biological and medical physics, biophotonics, biomedical optics, nanobiophotonics, speckle optics, OCT, polycapillary optics and photonic crystals, laser spectroscopy and imaging in biomedicine, nonlinear dynamics of laser and optical systems, optical and laser measurements, blood flow measurements.

Holder of more than 60 patents, author or editor of more than 100 books, book chapters, special issues of journals, textbooks, tutorials, proceedings, booklets, and more than 500 scientific papers and analytical reviews.
